Privacy

Career Atlas is built to respect your privacy. We do not sell your data and use no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

What we collect

• Anonymous, aggregate analytics (page views and coarse feature events) via a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics provider. No personal profiles, no fingerprinting.
• Local preferences (your priorities, saved jobs, and paths) stored in your browser's local storage so the app remembers them.
• Account email, only if you choose to sign in for cross-device sync. Sign-in uses a one-time magic link; we store your saved app state against your account and nothing more.
• Mailing-list email, only if you type it into a subscribe box on the writing pages. We store the address, which page you subscribed from, and the date. Nothing else, no name, no tracking pixels in the mail, and the list is never shared or sold. It is used for one thing: telling you when a new piece is published, which happens a few times a year. Every email carries an unsubscribe link, and you can ask for the address to be deleted at any time. The RSS feed covers the same ground without giving us anything.

Third parties

Some outbound links to courses, jobs, or services may be affiliate links; following them takes you to that third party under their own privacy policy. If advertising is enabled in future, ad providers may set their own cookies on those pages, and this notice will be updated accordingly.

Your choices

You can clear local data anytime by clearing your browser storage, and you can sign out to stop syncing. Questions: open an issue on the project's GitHub.
